Kodak Theater Concert DVD
The world famous Gevorkian Dance Academy could not have chosen a better stage to celebrate their 10-year success in the United States than the one and only Kodak Theatre (currently Dolby Theatre) which, only one week before this performance, was home to The Oscars. For the second time in the history of world dance, in the academy’s now signature style, the stage was elevated to 3 different levels to accommodate over 500 students ranging in ages 3 to 25, who performed for the sold-out audience. The 3,400 Armenian and international witnesses were transformed back almost a century while viewing the 23-minute thematic dance dedicated to the 90
th commemoration of the Armenian Genocide. DVD 1 offers you a chance to relive those moments, while simultaneously elevating your mood with other Armenian and International dance performances. DVD 2 is the documentary film “Miracle of Dance” by famous director, Vahe Khachatryan, chronicling the road leading to Kodak Theatre filled with hard work, dedication, career history, and biographic facts of Vartan and Siranush Gevorkian, the founders of the Academy.
